I AM so SORRRYYYYYY.... & PlaModel Day 12.04.11

First.... I AM SO SO SO  UTTERLY SORRY... that I've abandoned the plog for the last few months... I promise I will be more diligent with mah posts....

But, anyway, so now I'm back here... and, I actually do have quite a bit to update. But, most importantly, is the pictures from PlaModel Day (12.04.11). This is probably gonna be the first of many. Oh, and I discovered that the PlaModel has Tilt-Shift lens... yah, so it took me that long to realize that.

Anyway, selected pics below. To see all of it, visit the Wherever My Lens Takes me Page!

Plog Entry 6: The Cat & The Market

Okay, I have a very good reason for a late post for yesterday.

I was down at the New Farm Market with Miss D. Isa yesterday morning, and we got there via the City Cat (Get it? The Cat & The Market?)

So anyways, I took a tonne of pictures, some of which you will see in abit.

After we left New Farm, we went to deposit our shoppings at her place and went for dinner from there.

On the way to our beloved dinner, the bunch of us (myself, Miss D. Isa, Sashi & Joan), got desperately lost due to a crappy indian bus driver who, despite my repeating myself at least 5 times (I asked if the bus went to Wishart Square), dropped us off at Wishart OUTLOOK VILLAGE SHOPPING CENTER. Obviously, the 4 of us had no idea where we were. Went crashing into the nearest (ONLY) open shop, and kind of realized we were in the wrong end of Wishart. (I wanted to kick the bus driver at that point). Well, so I called D and asked if he knew how we could get back to where we were suppose to be, to which he had no answer (that's how lost we were). I was thinking to self, if the bus comes, we'll be good girls and take the bus back to where we started, and then be good girls and take buses that we know FOR SURE will deposit us in the right place).

At that point, it felt like the bus driver was mocking us, 'cuz, half an hour later, we were still in the same place. WITHOUT A BUS IN SIGHT. And Miss D. Isa had gone rabid with hunger (it started with splitting watermelons and escalated to asylum escapee).

So then, D came to pick us up and FINALLY, we were united with our wondrous dinner at Don's *yums*.

So anyways, by the time we were home, it was close to midnight (okay, maybe not that close, but I didn't check my watch) and I'd injured my leg and my previous injury from a tumble down the stairs was getting bad AND I had a sudden onset of one of the stupidest migraines (the second time this has happened in as many weeks... it was running around in my head and I was tempted to head-butt a wall).

So that's the reason why the post that's for yesterday was late.

Anyway, here's the pictures from

The Cat & The Market

This is the Story Bridge, linking the city to somewhere... ( I will figure that somewhere out another time).

I want to stay in one of those houses... how nice to stay by the river...

... and be able to park your yacht right outside your house.

My over-active imgination tells me this is a haunted hotel...
But, it probably isn't.

The wonderful farmer's market at New Farm. Crowded eh?

This guy's quite good with whatever that instrument he's playing is called. Quite enjoyed it.

The same huge crowd further into the market...

... and another busker. The padre on the violin? He's got this permanent happy face on. But he was playing some real tragic music. Cute eh?

My Lettuce comes in POTS!! And it's only 2 bucks!

The New Farm Power Station. Gothic, no?

And the inside of the Power Station. Cool yeah?

Spotted this lovely black house by the river on the way back. I WANTS!!!

Plog Entry 5: Idea. Brillance. NOT. maybe.

Ok, I've got this crazy brilliant (I think) idea.

I'm gonna be scribbling and doodling random stuff on Post-Its and paste it somewhere where everyone will see, and just sit in the vicinity to take shots of people who stop and look.

Brilliant?

Maybe.

But, it's got potential (again, I think.)

So, said project will start next week.

Anyways, having spent the ENTIRE friggin' day at home (feeling a tad lazy arsed and refusing to budge from the bed except for my meals...), and discovering I falsely deleted my ENTIRE lot of photos from my hard disk (thank god I managed to retrieve them after blowing 50 USD on a program), I'm kinda in a mood to just post some cute lomography shots I took back in Singapore.

My Favourite: Baby's Breath.

The Malayan Railway Station tracks. Reminds me of Baseball Soto *Yums*.

A lovely stanza from an old MGS girl at Old School, Mount Sophia. I wonder how old she is right now.

The poor bicycle looked so forlorn sitting there all alone at Redhill MRT Station...

One of my favourite places to take pictures: The Singapore Art Museum Corridor. This picture was taken using the Disderi Triple Lens Camera, better known as the Robot Camera.

Plog Entry 1: Due Yesterday

I know, I know, I said I'll post the first entry yesterday.

But I got so caught up in making my funky little notebook. *Grins like a Cheshire cat*

So now, I'm posting yesterday's Plog Project: 10 Happy things I found since reaching Brisbane.

Wonderful natural lighting to give beautiful exposure and contrast to pictures (sorry... I know this bit sounds geeky but I can't help it... the natural lighting REALLY IS THAT GOOD.)

This (above) was the first picture I took since getting off the plane (I took some pictures in the plane BUT... on my Lomo... 'cuz my darn battery was dead and I couldn't find the spare)

Plenty of sunshine (and practically no rain, I might add. After Singapore's floods and downpours... I'm in heaven). Oh, and the weather is wonderfully cool~ (can't show that in a picture but I still wanna say it.)

Old school cinema sign boards... though I still have no idea what this particular one was about (wasn't attached to any shops or such I could see... it was just there on the wall...)

Old school buildings and old school streets...

Pictures that seem to be taken with a fish-eye lens (although I don't currently own a fish-eye lens)...

Endless blue blue skies...

Clouds that seem to be Photoshopped into the picture (I swear they are real)...

ALOT of sun...

Beautifully coloured sunsets...

...along with grand new locations to shoot.
