Stranger Photos Have Occured - New Farm Park

So I thought it's time to do another one of my random projects, considering the last one was in May, and the camera never came back.

This time I decided to go for the tried and tested "tie the camera to a spot and come back" approach.

The little rascal left for work with me on Saturday, 20th Aug, and got tied to a lamp post in New Farm Park near the ferry terminal.

About 7 hours later when I came back for it after work, only 3 frames had been used, so I thought I'd try again the next day in a better spot, figuring that people probably didn't notice the rascal on the ground.

So the next day, 21st, a Sunday, I tied the little rascal to a bench near the first spot it was at.

And as luck would have it, 5 minutes after I left the camera there, (and about 5seconds after I got on the bus to work) it started raining. And as I was just thinking to myself, it's just gonna be a drizzle, it started pouring buckets. Great. And I freaked out about what I'd the little rascal caught a cold and died or worse, drowned in a shallow puddle.

Again, about 7 hours later, I went back to pick the rascal up. This time just hoping that it was still alive. And....

IT WAS GONE!!!!!!

All that was left was the leash....

Walked around a bit trying to find the camera, and heard some drums. Being the nosy parker I was, I couldn't resist following the noise...

When I got back to the bench for one last look before I headed home dejected, guess what I saw?

YES. In the short 10 mins that I had gone and located the source of the drumming, the camera had been returned to the bench. And whoever had returned it had stuck a note on the camera

"Sanity may be madness, but the maddest of all is to see life as it is and not as it ought to be."

Thought it was an interesting quote, but, thank you for returning the camera, kind stranger.

So, right now, at this point, the pictures are developing. And my fingers are crossed, hoping that the rain hadn't drowned the poor thing.

Will update soon with the developed pictures. Stay tuned!

Stranger Photos Have Occured - 15/04/2011 Brisbane

Hiya all!

To those of you who are on this page because you've found my camera, thank you for participating in the project!

Initially I was so terrified that no one's going to notice the camera or play with it, or that someone was gonna run with it. Then the partner decided to freak me out saying maybe some homeless dude shot a buncha pics of his junk. Made me so not tempted to develop the pictures.

But, I'm really happy with the results. There's some great people out there, great photographers! And thank you for playing with the camera!

The Location - South Bank Riverside Walk.

The Setup - Waterproof Disposable Camera attached to a card, attached to the railings.

The card for those of you inclined to read what's written on it.

For all the pictures from the roll ( all of it developed well... =p) please visit the Stranger Photos Have Occured album. If you know the people in the pictures, please tag them! Let them know that you've seen their pictures!

Here's a selected few from the album:

Lomo Madness in Brisbane

Heya!

Firstly, sorry for the long disappearance. School was busy, I was busy, and my bed wouldn't let me go.

Anyway, I've got the first lot of lomo films developed, and there's some sweet pictures that I wanna share with you guys.

So, without further words...

"Lomo Madness: Brisbane Edition"

The Golden Eye

I swear this has GOT to be my favourite so far. And the best multiple exposure composition I've ever done. This was taken at the Ekka.

Okay. Old habit of having to shoot clouds from a plane at work here. But, hey, I like imagining that the clouds are a field of fluff I can roll in. Can't a girl dream?

West End. So old school. *Loves*

The South Bank view from Victoria Bridge.

Again, from Victoria Bridge. This time it's the North Quay view.

View from Victoria Bridge again. Sunset over the William Jolly Bridge.

 1. I don't know how many exposures there were. 2. I don't know where from. 3. I don't know which way to orientate it.

View from Victoria Bridge: West End & William Jolly Bridge.

At the South Bank Parklands: "5 White Ibis, sitting on the rails. 5 White Ibis, sitting on the rails. Along came a crow, and scared them all away. No White Ibis, sitting on the rails." 5 seconds after this shot, a crow came by a bullied them off.

If I'm not mistaken, this should be the view from the City Cat. God only knows where I was headed to then.

One of my favourite pictures: Sunset, Roma Station. The view's not from the station itself, but it's pointed towards the station.

I forgot where this is. I'm guessing somewhere between Sailsbury Station & Coopers Plains.

The underpass from Normanby to Roma.

The Disderi Triple Lens

I think you can tell that this is the same picture as the one above taken with a different camera. =p

I seriously do not recall where this is. But, it's cute. =p
The Ferris Wheel. At Ekka.

Getting Lost Can Be FUN!!

Heya my dearies!

I'm sorry for having disappeared for such a long time, but school was a tad crazy. Oh well. The big sacrifices I make for a degree (jking).

So anyway, after I completed the last of the first round of assignments, I took a day off (not a day off school... Thursdays are off days for me ) and decided to get irrevocably lost. It turned out quite fun! Here's some pictures, all of which were taken on my iPhone 4, a number by the app Toy Camera (small thin black frame or no frame), and quite a few by the OTHER app, Hipstamatic(large thick black frame) (I recommend both apps!).

Enjoy my darlings~.

Well, started the session off by being a tad normal...

...people watching...

...while enjoying a nice Iced Vanilla Latte at Starbucks.

Did more people watching...

... and thought, "Let us get LOST!!!"

Went to St Paul's Terrace...

... and attracted some curious looks...

...but it was a lovely neighbourhood.

Nice quiet streets...

... and a house on a cliff!

This was at Quarry Street...

... plenty of rock walls.

TELEGRAPHIC CABLES!!!

Quaint little churchy place (not all the occupants were church related).

Took a rest at Cathedral Square...

... beautiful little park...

... nice trees (with their currently bare branches)...

... and flowerbeds that would be oh-so-beautiful come spring.
